HOLY SHIT. We made it all the way to Geneseo, IL last night! really tired, but Marshall let me sleep in today (9am central, which is 10am EST). Now we are off to Iowa!
We're going to go eat with Andrea (Marshall's old boss) in Grinnell, and then going to a "Marshall" family function (Marshall's first name is actually his mom's Maiden name) in Des Moines, and then up to Fort Dodge to sleep in a "real bed" as Marshall thinks hotel beds are imaginary.
Sad points of the trip: Not getting to see Nick or Liz, Nick was because 40 million party animals were moving into Penn State, so he was a tad busy, and we went through Chicago just too late to be polite, but just early enough that we could get another hour or two on the road, so it just didn't work out.
Happy points: Indiana plasters their truck stops with Meth educational pamphlets that made me laugh hard (pictures coming), I rocked out to Sufjan Stevens in ILLINOIS
ok, Marsh just gave me the ten minute warning, so I have to chug down this flavorless, yet too strong hotel coffee and get presentable for the in-would be laws if we were married

Took me a minute to realize that Marshall is Momma's Maiden name, and not that Marshall was actually a nick name. I was thinking Marshall's real first name was like "Smith" or "Brown" and wondering about Iowans!

I love Sufjan and hate hotel coffee! Yay road trips :) Adam and I find that Cake makes for good road trip tunes (you probably already realize this)... especially when I sing along. "I want a girl with a short skirt and a looooong jacket!" See you soon!
